Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Start any game using RetroArch.
  2. Press both joysticks together >This opens the RetroArch menu.
  3. Press the B button to go back to the main settings menu.
  4. Scroll and select Settings.
  5. Inside Settings, go to AI Service.
  6. Enable the option: Enable AI Service → turn it ON.
  7. Set translation URL to - http://ztransalate.net/services
  8. Set the Service Mode to your preferred option: Image to Text (Overlay) - Recommended for most users
  9. Choose your Target Language (e.g., English). Note: Leave Source Language as default - RetroArch will auto-detect when possible.
  10. Go back to Settings, then select Inputs > Hotkeys
  11. Scroll down to AI Service > Press "A" and then the button you want to use as your translation trigger (example: R3 or L3+R3).
  12. Exit the menu and return to your game.

How to Use AI Translation In-Game:

  • When you see non-English text, press the hotkey you set
  • RetroArch will capture that part of the screen and show the translated text as an on-screen overlay

Notes:

  • Your console must be connected to the internet
  • Works best on games with clear on-screen text
  • Great for understanding storylines, menus, and dialogue in unfamiliar languages
